SBA Communications reports Q1 2018 results

SBA Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: SBAC) has reported results for the quarter ended March 31, 2018, the company said.

Total revenues in the first quarter of 2018 were USD 458.3 million compared to USD 423.4 million in the year earlier period, an increase of 8.3%. Site leasing revenue in the quarter of USD 430.5 million was comprised of domestic site leasing revenue of USD 341.7 million and international site leasing revenue of USD 88.8 million.

Domestic cash site leasing revenue was USD 338.7 million in the first quarter of 2018 compared to USD 321.7 million in the year earlier period, an increase of 5.3%. International cash site leasing revenue was USD 86.4 million in the first quarter of 2018 compared to USD 71.9 million in the year earlier period, an increase of 20.1%.

Site leasing operating profit was USD 337.7 million, an increase of 9.6% over the year earlier period. Site leasing contributed 98.5% of the company´s total operating profit in the first quarter of 2018. Domestic site leasing segment operating profit was USD 276.7 million, an increase of 8.2% over the year earlier period. International site leasing segment operating profit was USD 61.0 million, an increase of 16.3% over the year earlier period.
