SAS posts November 2013-July 2014 results

Stockholm-based Scandinavian Airlines has posted MSEK 10,697 (11,593) for the November 2013-July 2014 period.

The airline operator said its unit revenue declined 7.1% during the period, while its unit cost decreased 5.6%.

SAS posted anEBIT margin of 8.7% (12.1%) and income before tax of MSEK 756 (1,176).

The firm discloses this information pursuant to the Swedish Securities Market Act and/or the Swedish Financial Instruments Trading Act. The information was provided for publication on September 10, 2014, at 8:00 a.m.

Scandinavian Airlines or SAS, previously Scandinavian Airlines System, is the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, and the largest airline in Scandinavia.

Part of the Scandinavian Airlines System Aktiebolag and headquartered at Stockholm-Arlanda Airport in Sigtuna, Sweden, the airline operates 182 aircraft to 90 destinations. The airline´s only major intercontinental hub is at Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport.

In 2012, SAS carried 25.9m passengers, achieving revenues of SEK 36bn.
