San Francisco Fleet Week Association and The Air Show Network have partnered to announce that United Airlines has agreed to become the presenting sponsor of The San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show, the association said.
The Air Show will take place October 5th, 6th, and 7th over the San Francisco Bay as part of the annual week-long celebration of our US Navy Fleet, with the headlining US Navy Blue Angels. Known for their precise formation flying, the Blue Angels will fly their distinctive blue and gold F-18 hornets at speeds approaching 700 mph with wingtips close as 18″ in separation.
The United 777, the most advanced airplane in the fleet, will take to the main stage with two performances, flying as low as 500 feet. The show center is located between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz. San Francisco Fleet Week is the only air show in North America to have a commercial airplane perform during an event.
The San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show is held annually in San Francisco, CA.
