Russian Yakutia Airlines operates split scimitar winglets in Russian Federation

Yakutia Airlines has begun operating Boeing´s split scimitar winglets in the Russian Federation, the company said.

Aviation Partners Boeing (APB) install and operated its next-generation 737-800 aircraft leased from Fly Leasing Limited. Aviation Partners´ latest Winglet design, the split scimitar winglet, uses existing blended winglet technology but adds new aerodynamic Scimitar tips and a large ventral strake, increasing the efficiency of the airplane.

Yakutia Airlines, based in Yakutsk, Sakha Republic, Russia, operates domestic passenger services in Russia and within the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as charters to destinations in Europe from its hubs at Yakutsk Airport and Moscow´s Vnukovo Airport.
