Royole partners with Airbus on flexible electronic technologies for aircraft applications

Royole Corporation has announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Airbus China Innovation Centre (ACIC) to develop applications that implement flexible electronic technologies in various environments and investigate the possibilities for commercial cooperation, the company said.

Royole´s Flexible+ Platform will bring both new capabilities and user experiences to the aircraft industry with a goal to enhance flight environment, improve safety and energy saving, and create a digitalized and personalized flight experience for Airbus passengers.

Airbus is a global leader in aeronautics, space and related services. In 2017 it generated revenues of EUR 59 billion restated for IFRS 15 and employed a workforce of around 129,000.

Based in Shenzhen, Airbus China Innovation Centre is the first Innovation Centre set up by Airbus in Asia. Its mission is to fully leverage local advantages including innovative talents, partners and the eco-system, and combine this with Airbus´ expertise in aerospace to explore breakthroughs in technologies, business models and new growth opportunities.
