Rockwell Collins buys International Communications Group

Rockwell Collins (NYSE: COL) said it has acquired Newport News, Virginia-based International Communications Group, Inc. (ICG), a leading provider of satellite-based global voice and data communication products and services for the aviation industry.

The initial purchase price was USD50 million and additional post-closing consideration of up to USD14 million may be paid.

ICG´s products and services will be integrated into Rockwell Collins´ Commercial Systems portfolio. ICG´s CEO Scott Trainum said, “Bringing ICG into the Rockwell Collins family is the culmination of 20 years of hard work by the dedicated team of professionals at ICG.
