Qualcomm, Huizhou TCL Mobile sign 3G/4G patent license agreement

Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) and Huizhou TCL Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. (TCL) said they have entered into a 3G and 4G Chinese patent license agreement.

Qualcomm has granted Huizhou TCL Mobile a royalty-bearing patent license to manufacture and sell 3G WCDMA and CDMA2000, and 4G LTE subscriber units. The royalties payable by TCL are consistent with the terms of the rectification plan submitted by Qualcomm to China´s National Reform and Development Commission.

Huizhou TCL Mobile Communication Co., Ltd. manufactures mobile handsets. The company was founded in 1997 and is based in Huizhou, China. It operates as a subsidiary of TCL Communication Technology Holdings Ltd.
