Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), and Embraer are celebrating a significant milestone as the E190-E2 aircraft receives Type Certification from three regulatory agencies, the AgÃªncia Nacional de AviaÃ§Ã£o Civil (ANAC) in Brazil, the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and from the European Aviation Safety Administration (EASA), the company said.
The aircraft is exclusively powered by the Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofanâ¢ (GTF) engine and is scheduled to enter into service with WiderÃ¸e Airlines in April.
