Pratt & Whitney launches 3D animated website to display GTF engine

Pratt & Whitney has announced the launch of its new 3D animated website, which showcases the GTF engine, the company said.

The website features a journey through the engine, stopping at critical design elements throughout its architecture. Whether meeting the aircraft families, exploring new multimedia ready for download, or explaining how the GTF is making a positive impact today with real time fuel savings, noise, and reduction in NOx emissions, the website demonstrates why the GTF is in a league of its own.

Since entering into service in early 2016, the GTF engine has demonstrated its promised ability to reduce fuel burn by 16 percent, to reduce NOx emissions by 50 percent to the regulatory standard and to lower the noise footprint by 75 percent.

Pratt & Whitney is investing in its global manufacturing and aftermarket network, with 21st century technology, to transform its U.S. and global footprint to support the GTF and other engine programs.

Pratt & Whitney is a division of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX). The company is a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft and helicopter engines, and auxiliary power units.
