Pratt & Whitney has announced it has been awarded a USD 7,681,734 firm-fixed price order against a previously issued ordering agreement for the production and delivery of seven lift fan inter stage vane kits (LF ISV), the company said.
The kits will be manufactured and delivered for the Marine Corp in support of its Joint Strike Fighter program.
Work will be performed in Indianapolis, Indiana. Work is expected to be complete by July 2021.
The new LF ISV will provide lift fan operations over an increased temperature range, improved trailing edge angle conformance and will address vibration and flutter concerns.
