Philippine Airlines picks Pratt & Whitney's PurePower engines for A320neo family aircraft

Philippine Airlines, the Philippine flag carrier, said it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Pratt & Whitney to power its order of 15 firm plus 15 purchase right A321neo aircraft.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2017.

Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX) company.

The PurePower engine family has completed more than 23,000 hours and 40,000 cycles of testing.
