pdvWireless vice chairman awarded Armstrong medal

pdvWireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDVW) has reported vice chairman, Morgan O´Brien, will receive the Armstrong Medal for outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to the radio arts and sciences and wireless communications, the company said.

As the co-founder and chairman of Nextel Communications, Inc., O´Brien led the creation of the first all-digital nationwide wireless network (the Nextel National Network) and brought push-to-talk communication to the mass business and consumer market. After the merger of Nextel with Sprint, he was a co-founder of Cyren Call Communications where he served until January 2009. He has served as a member of the pdvWireless, Inc. board of directors since April 2012.
