There is a huge choice of parquet flooring in the market today, and with so many options it can be quite hard to choose. You can choose from a range of colours and flooring materials whether that be grey laminate parquet style or exotic real wood there is something for everyone.

But there are several options you need to consider when before you buy your floor: What is your budget? What style will best match your interior?

Different styles of parquet

Before choosing your floor, you need to know what, material will suit your household.

Laminate imitates parquet style, but you don’t get the same feel as you would with hardwood. For an affordable option that imitates real wood, we would recommend luxury vinyl tiles. Traditional parquet is made from different woods like birch, oak, walnut, bamboo. Parquet is best laid with real wood.

Overtime, wood can get worn which often looks better in homes. Not to mention, real wood is highly durable and can last up to 100 years in your home! So, if you’re going to spend quite a bit of money on a new floor, choose hardwood parquet. The versatile style will also add value onto your home too, which is great if you’re putting your home up for sale! All you have to do is bet on the right parquet according to your desires!

If you’re a homeowner who lives by themselves or with a partner, we could recommend choosing solid wood if you want to really enhance your home with parquet style. If you have a busy household with children and pets, your best bet is LVT. It’s highly water-resistant which is great for accidents!
