OpenText CEO takes on Chief Technology role

Enterprise information management provider OpenTextâ„¢ (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC) has appointed Stephen Murphy to president of Open Text Corporation, the company said.

Mark J. Barrenechea will continue to serve as the company´s Chief Executive Officer and will also assume the role of Chief Technology Officer.

As President of OpenText, Murphy will have responsibility for all customer facing activity and will report to Barrenechea. The appointment is effective January 4, 2016.
