NQ Mobile Inc. (NYSE: NQ) has reported USD5.3 million in net income for the second quarter 2016, compared to a net loss of USD0.2 million in the same period in 2015, the company said.
Net revenues in the second quarter ended June 30, 2016, representing an 18 percent decreases year-over-year from the same period in 2015, the company said. Excluding NationSky from the comparable period, net revenues increased 24.5 percent year-over-year from the same period in 2015.
Mobile value added service revenues increased 53.5 percent year-over-year to USD48.6 million from USD31.7 million in the same period in 2015. The increase in mobile value added service revenues was primarily attributable to the growth in mobile gaming revenues and live mobile social video platform revenues.
Income from operations in the second quarter of 2016 was USD7.0 million, compared with operating income of UD1.4 million in the same period in 2015.
