Northrop Grumman elects new director to board

Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) has elected Gen. Mark A. Welsh, III (USAF ret.), dean of the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University to its board of directors, the company said.

Welsh´s addition to the board increases Northrop Grumman´s directors to 14 members, 13 of whom are independent directors.

Prior to his current position as dean of the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, Welsh served as chief of staff of the US Air Force, the senior uniformed Air Force officer responsible for the organization, training and equipping of active-duty, guard, reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States and overseas.
