Nexmo, AWS collaborate in SMS message delivery

Nexmo, a Vonage company (NYSE: VG) has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS), to help AWS deliver SMS messages through Amazon Simple Notification Service, the company said.

The companies said A2P (application to person) messaging, a form of SMS, is addressing the need to communicate more rapidly, as indicated by the growth of the market. Transparency Research said A2P messaging is expected to grow to a USD70 billion market by 2020.

Nexmo´s proprietary adaptive routing algorithm tracks millions of data points to determine the fastest and most reliable route to deliver messages.

Nexmo is a global cloud communications platform leader providing innovative communication APIs and SDKs for voice, text, messaging and phone verification services. Vonage, a leading provider of cloud communications for business, acquired Nexmo in June 2016.
