Nexius research finds optimal network functions virtualization implementations

Nexius said it has announced research findings that identify key performance indicators designed to optimize the performance and availability of network functions virtualization (NFV) environments.

The new research paper, “Organizational Collaboration and New KPIs for NFV Success,” describes the importance of a development and operations (DevOps) structure and new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that, combined, increase the success of NFV implementations.

Researchers from Nexius and The University of Texas at Dallas found that to transition smoothly from legacy architectures to NFV, and realize the benefits without introducing disruption, requires new operational practices, measurement techniques, and KPIs.

Nexius specializes in delivering end-to-end network services, software, and business intelligence solutions to leading network operators and enterprise organizations, enabling them to deploy, optimize and monetize their networks more rapidly and efficiently.
