New Delta route to Rome marks 5th long-haul international destination from Minneapolis hub

Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) said it is adding nonstop daily service from its Minneapolis-St. Paul hub to Rome during the peak summer season beginning May 26, 2016.

Rome will be Delta´s fifth long-haul international destination from Minneapolis-St. Paul and the 10th peak-day flight between the US and Italy for summer 2016. The airline also operates flights from Minneapolis to Amsterdam, London, Tokyo-Narita and Paris. The service will be operated in conjunction with Delta´s joint venture partners Air France, KLM and Alitalia using Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

Delta operates more than 400 peak-day flights to more than 120 destinations from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The airline serves more than 170 million customers each year.
