Nebraska Veterans' Affairs announces overhauled website

The Nebraska Department of Veterans´ Affairs (NDVA) said it has launched a new website that has been overhauled to make it more usable, intuitive, and accessible.

Easy navigation, responsive design, and relevant content are a few of the key highlights, all developed on the Nebraska.gov Drupal platform.

“The new Nebraska Department of Veterans´ Affairs website provides the public with quality information in a user-friendly format. We believe that we will be able to serve America´s heroes better since they will have more accessibility,” said John Hilgert, NDVA director. “Our partnership with Nebraska.gov was key in assisting us to complete this project. Together, we were proud to bring more information to those who have bravely served our country — our veterans!”

Along with the new design, visitors now have easy access to veteran-related events using a sortable calendar. The public may now submit veteran/military events to NDVA requesting they be added to the public calendar. In addition, the new site makes it easier to track military or veteran-related bills through the Nebraska legislature. Legislative issues are tracked and showcase highlights from the past two years.
