NASA celebrates Chicago Air/Water Show's 60th anniversary

NASA has announced it was in Chicago to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the air and water show on August 17-19, the agency said.

NASA displayed exhibits inside NASA Village, giving guests an opportunity to learn about NASA´s Space Launch System, the most powerful rocket in the world, and the Orion spacecraft that will fly humans farther than any other spacecraft in history.

Visitors received a virtual reality experience, learning about NASA´s planetary missions, became familiar with the International Space Station and what it´s like to live and work in space, and discovered the work NASA is doing in aeronautics.

Guests had the opportunity to venture through NASA´s Journey to Tomorrow traveling exhibit that included learning stations about NASA missions, engaging activities and a genuine moon rock returned to Earth by the crew of Apollo 17.
