NAAPE issues ultimatum to airlines to sacked reinstate pilots

Google News has reported the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) union has issued a two-week ultimatum to airlines, appealing for them to reverse decisions to dismiss or plan to dismiss pilots and engineers, the news source said.

The airlines had linked their actions to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on their businesses.

NAAPE´s president said pilots and aircraft maintenance engineers had resolved to withdraw their services to all airlines if colleagues were sacked.

The union urged the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to, as a matter of urgency, prevail on the airlines to stop the dismissal of pilots and engineers.
