N4 technology will take terminal to next level

Ayala Colón Sucrs., Inc. has selected to implement N4, along with Navis Professional Services and Navis Training Services at its terminal, the company said.

The partnership with Navis aims to improve operations at its San Juan, Puerto Rico-based terminal and continues to provide its customers with high quality service. The order was booked in Cargotec´s 2018 first quarter order intake.

Since it was created in 1938, the family operated terminal, Luis Ayala Colón, has emerged as one of the largest terminals in Puerto Rico. It has an annual TEU of 230,000 and serves a larger volume of Puerto Rico´s international cargo needs than any other terminal in the area. Located in the Puerto Nuevo Port Zone of the Port of San Juan, the Ayala Family has built a strong reputation during its 80 years in operation, and has selected N4 as the next step in optimizing its operations and helping it remain competitive with terminals on an international stage.
