MMJRecs releases new medical marijuana app

MMJRecs has unveiled a brand-new app that enables California medical-cannabis patients to apply for and receive doctor recommendations via their mobile devices, the company said.

Now available on the App store & Google Play. To mark the occasion, the company announced that it will be offering USD5 evaluations to military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) who register through their app. (Offer is valid for a limited time only and to the FIRST 100 registered Veterans per day.)

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, PTSD is a major public health problem among current and former military service members, especially those who have served in combat. The prevalence of PTSD among service members and veterans varies widely, but deployment to a war zone is consistently associated with an increased risk for the illness. The US Department of Veterans´ Affairs estimates that anywhere from 10 to 20 percent of veterans of the Iraq, Afghanistan and Gulf wars suffer from PTSD.

Founded by Dr. White and Faisal Ansari–a patient–MMJRecs is staffed by a team of licensed physicians, complies with all HIPAA regulations, and employs the same cyber-security as banks, bringing the highest possible level of safety, comfort and relief to the ill. The entire process can take as little as 20 minutes, and no office visit is required. Available on its website since September, MMJRecs has so far served more than 1,000 patients.
