Miracle Flights for Kids increases medical flights in August

Miracle Flights for Kids said it provided 690 life-saving medical flights last month–a substantial growth from the 609 flights in August 2014.

This comes as an even greater increase from 518 flights in August 2013. The nation´s leading health and welfare flight organization enables children with rare and life-threatening medical conditions to gain access to specialized, out-of-state medical care through commercial flights.

Miracle Flights has also been selected as one of 12 finalists in the Lightspeed Aviation Foundation´s Pilots Choice Awards Grant program. Aviation-related charities are chosen to compete in an online poll, with the winner receiving a USD10,000 grant. To help more children get to the specialized, out-of-state medical care they need, vote for Miracle Flights´ kids.

Miracle Flights for Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free medical air transportation via commercial airlines throughout the United States. Now in its 30th year of operation, Miracle Flights has coordinated more than 92,000 flights and counting.
