Military.com creates free mobile app to help military members transition to civilian life

Military.com has launched a free mobile app that assists military members through their transition out of military service and prepares them for civilian life.

Transition by Military.com is a free app sponsored by Citi that provides a personalized approach to the transition process with an interactive checklist and notifications to alert the user of upcoming tasks and important military paperwork as far as 18 months before separation from the military.

Subject areas featured in the app include: employment, finances, relocation, transition requirements, health benefits, education and veteran benefits. The new app is sponsored by Citi Salutes, Citi´s firm-wide commitment to veterans, service members and families, led by Citi Community Development.

The app also includes veteran employment resources such as a job search function from Monster, the parent company of Military.com. The app allows the user to search for upcoming job fairs and leverage tools to translate their military skills to corresponding civilian occupations. The app is designed for all members of the armed forces (Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard) and members of the National Guard and reserve components.

Military.com is a largest military and veteran online news and membership organization serving active duty and retired personnel and their family members. Military.com is a business unit of Monster Worldwide Inc.
