Washington USA-based airport retail programs manager MarketPlace Development said it will host a concessions leasing outreach forum on October 1 2013 in Arlington, Virginia in conjunction with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.

At the forum, local, regional, and national retailers, quick-service food operators, and restaurateurs will be able learn more about the opportunities that will be available for the second phase of leasing at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport, the principals said.

According to MarketPlace Development, both airport environments present an opportunity for merchants to benefit from captive passenger traffic and a strong demand for quality dining and shopping.

More than 42m passengers traveled through Washington´s Airports in 2012, with Reagan Airport yielding more than 19.7 m passengers and Dulles Airport boasting more than 22.6 m domestic and international passengers.
