Malaysia releases final report into MH370 disappearance

Malaysia´s government has released results of the final inquiry and investigation into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight, reporting no new findings on the cause of the disappearance or whereabouts of MH370 between Kuala Lumpur and Beijing, the government said.

According to the report, “there were uncertainties on the position” of MH370 by both Kuala Lumpur and Ho Chi Minh air traffic control, pointing to irregularities between both sets of area centre controllers.

Contact was lost on MH370 over the Gulf of Thailand. The aircraft turned back and flew towards the southern Indian Ocean. The aircraft´s approximate location was determined by satellite.

Investigators have not found the main wreckage from the flight after a four-year search. The investigation reports without examining aircraft wreckage and recorded flight data, investigators are unable to identify aircraft or systems failure.
