Major carrier inks long-term agreement for Conterra dark fiber solution

Conterra Ultra Broadband, LLC has been selected by a major wireless carrier to support their dark fiber CRAN network that will enable the customer to significantly expand services in the greater El Paso area, the company said.

The network leverages Conterra´s fiber expansion serving many of the area´s schools and enterprise customers. The carrier will leverage a significant amount of Conterra´s existing metro route miles to connect more than 50 initial sites.

This project will also add an additional 60 strategic route miles further densifying Conterra´s El Paso metro footprint. By leveraging the network that is largely in place, Conterra expects to generate strong return on investments and cash flow from this agreement.

Conterra Broadband Services is a national provider of managed fiber-based, carrier-grade telecommunications solutions for schools, enterprises, healthcare, telecom carriers, and municipalities that require bandwidth intensive, carrier-grade services in major metropolitan, suburban, and rural areas.
