Magellan Aerospace signs contract with Collins Aerospace for landing assemblies

Canadian Magellan Aerospace Corporation has announced it has signed an agreement with Collins Aerospace Systems – Landing Gear for the supply of nose landing gear assemblies for the B737 aircraft, the company said.

The assemblies, comprised of complex machined titanium components, are valued at approximately CDN 52 million and will be delivered through 2024 from Magellan´s facility in Kitchener, Ontario.

In order to provide the best solution for Collins, Magellan´s vertically integrated deliverable will utilize their global resources in Kitchener, New York, India, and Poland. As the final assembly of the B737 landing gear takes place in Collins´ Krosno, Poland facility, the proximity of Magellan´s Poland facility provides the opportunity to stage buffer kits in close proximity to Collins´ facility, readily available to mitigate production risk.
