Dark fiber provider Light Source Communications has launched a new intercity dark fiber route in Georgia, the company said.
Scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2017, the 200-mile route will connect Atlanta and Augusta and pass through Athens.
Construction on the new route is expected to be completed in 2018 and will include eight neutral colocation sites to provide space and power.
