Laguardia Gateway Partners to open Terminal 8 gates

Eastern concourse features brand new amenities including local New York restaurants and retail shops, family-friendly spaces and innovative construction

LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP), the private entity operating and redeveloping LaGuardia Airport´s Terminal B, has announced it has open the first 11 gates in the eastern concourse of the new terminal, the company said.

With best-in-class retail and food options, innovative design and family-friendly spaces and modern amenities, the new concourse showcases LaGuardia Gateway Partners´ and Governor Cuomo´s vision to build a unified, 21st century airport that is a leader in guest experience, innovation and sustainability.

Air Canada, American Airlines, and Southwest Airlines will all operate flights from the new concourse, with United Airlines joining in 2019.

When complete, Terminal B offer dual pedestrian bridges that span active aircraft taxi lanes, and connect the main part of the terminal to two island concourses.

The redevelopment includes a new 35-gate terminal, a parking garage, and a Central Hall, which will unify the airport by connecting to Terminal C, which is also being redeveloped.

LaGuardia Gateway Partners was selected by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to deliver an extensive capital redevelopment project at LaGuardia Airport´s Terminal B that will provide world-class terminal facilities and operations for passengers and airlines.

LaGuardia Gateway Partners is composed of Vantage Airport Group, Skanska, Meridiam, and JLC Infrastructure.
