Korean airlines will not screen Parasite film

Korean Air and Asiana Airlines have announced it will not show the Oscar-winning Parasite film on inflight service because of scenes that portray Korea in a negative light, the companies said.

Korean Air said it does not screen films containing sexual or provocative content even if the films are not adults-only.

Korean Air said it plans to screen around 400 movies on its planes this year.

Asiana said it excluded the movie because it is excessively sexual and inappropriate for kids, but said it may reconsider the screening if the airline can settle up inappropriate scenes following negotiations with the supplier.
