Managed wireless network services provider KORE has announced an agreement to provide connectivity for DipJar´s electronic tip and donation jars.
Through the KORE network, DipJar will securely and reliably process wireless gratuity and donation payment information without the need to interface with a retailer´s point of sale system.
DipJar currently has 600 electronic tip jars across the country and plans to deploy more in the next year. DipJar is able to remotely monitor and manage the location and connectivity of all of their jars, through KORE PRiSMPro.
KORE specializes in Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) markets. DipJar enables cashless generosity via the first-ever donation box and tip jar designed specifically for credit and debit cards. DipJar combines the ease of paying with plastic with the generosity of in-person donations and tips. Customers simply “dip” their credit cards to give a fixed, pre-set gratuity. DipJars are independent of point-of-sale systems and are 3G-connected, offering beneficiaries a plug-and-play experience.
