JetBlue increases baggage fee to USD 30 per bag

Logan Airport´s biggest airline just raised its baggage fees.

JetBlue has announced it has raised the price of checked baggage from USD 25 to USD 30 for the first checked piece of luggage weighing under 50 pounds, the company said.

A second bag will cost passengers USD 40, representing a USD 5 increase over bag fees.

Blue Plus fares will continue to include one checked bag and Blue Flex fares will continue to include two, the airline said.

Prices are also increasing for overweight or oversize bags. The airline says its fee for bags between 51 and 99 pounds or longer than 63 inches will now be USD150. The price for additional bags is also going up to USD 150.
