JetBlue awards USD 75,000 in grants to 3 nonprofits in honor of World Kindness Day

As part of JetBlue for Good Month and in celebration of World Kindness Day, JetBlue has announced it has three nonprofits with grants of USD 25,000 each, the company said.

The nonprofits include Detroit-based nonprofit, Detroit Public Safety Foundation´s Sisterhood: No Boundaries Program, Behind the Book in New York City and Heal The Planet in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Selected from thousands of entries from community members, each of these nonprofit organizations received a grant from JetBlue to continue their work helping others within their local communities. The designated charities each represent one of JetBlue For Good´s three pillars: youth and education, the community, and the environment.

JetBlue´s core programs and partnerships directly impact the areas where its customers and crewmembers live and work by enhancing education and providing access to those that are traditionally underserved.

JetBlue is New York´s Hometown Airline, and a leading carrier in Boston, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Los Angeles (Long Beach), Orlando, and San Juan. JetBlue carries more than 40 million customers a year to 100+ cities in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America with an average of 1,000 daily flights.
