JetBlue adds new service to Quito, Ecuador

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) today announced the start of service to its newest destination Quito, Ecuador, the airline said.

It is the only airline to operate daily flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Quito´s Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO). Ecuador becomes the 22nd country served by JetBlue, which operates nearly a third of its capacity in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Situated more than 9,000 feet above sea level in the Andes Mountains, Quito is set against a beautiful and scenic backdrop and features one of the least-altered, best-preserved historic centers in the world. Declared one of the first World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 1978, the city is home to various museums, picturesque plazas and impressive architecture.
