Japan Airlines has announced it has expanded its codeshare with Alaska Airlines and plans to return service to Seattle, Washington in 2019, the company said.
The carrier will offer daily service to Seattle Tacoma International airport from Tokyo Narita with Boeing 787-8, beginning March 31, 2019. Seattle will be JAL´s sixth destination on the US West Coast.
JAL will codeshare with Alaska on the new flight, as well as offer connections to many of 40 destinations served by the Seattle-based carrier beyond the airport. Codeshare markets include Anchorage, Boise, Las Vegas and Spokane.
Japan Airlines (JAL) was founded in 1951 and became the first international airline in Japan. A member of the oneworld alliance, the airline now reaches 349 airports in 54 countries and regions together with its codeshare partners with a modern fleet of 230 aircraft.
