IT trends drive expansion of US Signal data center facilities

US Signal has completed of its most recent project, a 20,000-square-foot addition to its industry-leading data center in Grand Rapids, Mich, the company said.

With Internet of Things (IoT) applications and the increased adoption of cloud computing, disaster recovery (DR) solutions, and IT outsourcing driving the need for increased data center space throughout the United States, the expansion project will help the Michigan-based IT solutions provider expand its Midwest footprint.

The expansion doubles the footprint of the existing data center, which opened in mid-2014. The project was initiated to accommodate growth among US Signal´s existing clients and to support the region´s business and technology communities.

US Signal is an IT solutions provider of network, cloud hosting, colocation, data protection and disaster recovery services, powered by its fiber network.
