Iraqi Airways plane makes emergency landing in Istanbul

According to a report from the Anadolu Agency, Iraqi Airways has reported engine failure on a June 22 flight from Istanbul to Erbil, Iraq, forced an emergency landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, the agency said.

The engine failed to function in mid-air after take-off from Istanbul. All the passengers of the plane were evacuated and departed to Erbil on another plane.

Iraqi Airways Company, operating as Iraqi Airways, is the national carrier of Iraq, headquartered on the grounds of Baghdad International Airport in Baghdad.
