TekTelic Communications, a supplier of LoRaWAN Gateways, Sensors and Applications for the Internet of Things (IoT), has been selected by IoTCAN, Canada´s Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) Internet of Things (IoT) network provider, to supply its best in class high capacity KONA Macro IoT Gateway for the IoTCAN´s announced LoRaWAN network rollout, the company said.
The KONA Macro IoT Gateway enables high scalability, carrier grade resiliency, rapid network deployment and a very long lifecycle. It has highly differentiated features such as Frequency Division Duplex, Multiple Rx/Tx antennas, multiple simultaneous Tx channels, and built-in highly selective bandpass filters.
IoTCAN´s LoRaWAN network launched on June 15, 2017 covering the Greater Toronto Area as a first step in a Canada wide rollout. IoTCAN is working with several key partners to provide carrier grade and fully integrated customizable solutions, encompassing different parts of the IoT value chain in the Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) segment of the market including user devices, network and application layers.
