Mexican airline Interjet has launched two flights per day from Dallas Fort Worth International (DFW) Airport to Mexico City, the airline said.
DFW Airport welcomed the low-fare carrier´s inaugural flight to International Terminal D with a traditional “shower of affection” water cannon salute and gate celebration. Interjet will serve the route with Superjet 100 aircraft.
Supporting an extensive domestic network, Interjet serves 49 destinations, including 37 in Mexico and 12 cities across the United States, Central and South America. Interjet customers receive free checked bags up to 50 kilograms, additional legroom and discounted rates for passengers over the age of 65. Daily flights from DFW Airport will depart at 6:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
DFW Airport has strategically focused on global expansion and world-class amenities, attracting 11 new international carriers and 22 new international destinations in the past five years. Interjet further solidifies DFW Airport as a key entry point into the United States and strengthens connectivity to Central and South America.
