IndiGo and Travelport (NYSE: TVPT) have partnered to distribute IndiGo´s fares and ancillary products to Travelport-connected customers worldwide, the company said.
Through the partnership with Travelport, IndiGo will place its fares, ancillary products and offers into the Travel Commerce Platform. This distribution platform will enable IndiGo to provide its content via an API connection, rather than traditional filing methods
IndiGo, which commenced operations in 2006 with a single aircraft, now operates a fleet of 112 aircraft including the new Airbus A320 Neos with 424 more on order. IndiGo currently operates international flights to five destinations, namely, Bangkok, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat and Singapore.
Travelport is a travel commerce platform providing distribution, technology, payment, mobile and other solutions for the global travel and tourism industry. With a presence in approximately 180 countries, the company´s 2015 net revenue was over USD2.2 billion.
