inContact, Inc. (NASDAQ: SAAS) said software segment revenue totaled USD34.1 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, an increase of 41 percent from USD24.2 million in Q2 2014.
Combined Software and Software-related Network connectivity revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 was USD51.0 million, an increase of 32 percent from USD38.5 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. Approximately 89 percent of Network connectivity segment revenues were derived from contracts with customers utilizing our contact center software.
Consolidated revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 was USD53.1 million versus USD41.1 million for the same period in 2014, an increase of 29 percent.
For the six months ended June 30, 2015, Software segment revenue totaled USD66.5 million, an increase of 50 percent from USD44.2 million for 2014. For the six months ended June 30, 2015, Network connectivity segment revenue totaled USD37.9 million, an increase of 12 percent from USD34.0 million for the same period in 2014.
Software segment gross margin for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 was 58 percent versus 58 percent for the same period in 2014. Excluding non-cash charges, non-GAAP Software segment gross margin was 71 percent for the second quarter of 2015, versus 72 percent in the second quarter of 2014. Second quarter 2015 Network connectivity segment gross margin was 37 percent versus 36 percent for the same period in 2014.
Consolidated gross margin percentage was 50 percent in the second quarter of 2015 compared to 49 percent for the same period in 2014. Excluding non-cash charges, consolidated gross margin was 59 percent for the second quarter 2015 compared to 58 percent for the same period in 2014.
Net loss for the quarter ended June 30, 2015 was USD7.3 million, or (USD0.12) per basic and diluted share, as compared to net income of USD3.4 million or USD0.06 per basic and diluted share for the same period in 2014. Net income in Q2 2014 was benefited by a one-time reversal of a deferred tax asset provision, related to the Uptivity acquisition.
