Implant Sciences Corporation (OTCQB: IMSC) said the company has delivered its first shipment of QS-B220 desktop Explosives Trace Detectors (ETDs) to airports across the United States.
These units are a part of the 1,170 unit order that was placed by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in November, 2014. The entirety of the 1,170 units is expected to be delivered across more than 40 percent of airports in the United States within Implant Sciences´ fiscal year 2016, which began July 1, 2015.
The QS-B220 uses Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to detect and identify trace amounts of a wide variety of military, commercial, and homemade explosives.
