IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) (LON:IHG, NYSE: IHG (ADRs)) has launched a “virtual reality experience” through a strategic partnership with HTC Corporation (TWSE: 2498), a pioneer in innovative, smart mobile and virtual reality (VR) technologies, the company said.
IHG´s partnership with HTC brings VR to the company´s guests in Beijing, Shanghai and Sanya. Offerings include gaming, entertainment and interactions in a fully immersive digital generated environment.
Guests will also have the opportunity to enjoy Vive line of VR content through Viveport application store for a fully digitalized entertainment moment in their own rooms.
From 31 October onwards, guests at Hotel Indigo Shanghai On The Bund, Crowne Plaza Beijing Sun Palace and InterContinental Sanya Resort can indulge themselves in the immersive VR experience. This feature will be expanded to more hotels in China in the future.
