Icontrol Networks has partnered with Telstra, an Australian telecommunications and information services company, to power Telstra Smart Home, continuing Icontrol´s global expansion and marking the fourth continent to offer its powered smart home solutions, the company said.
In addition to many of the major telecommunications service provider and security companies in North America, Icontrol also powers solutions in Europe and Asia. In Japan, Icontrol supports iTSCOM´s Intelligent HOME and Connected Design, and in Israel, Icontrol powers Bezeq´s Bhome.
The announcement follows Telstra´s extensive review of the market to determine that Icontrol´s Converge and Touchstone platform, developed out of Icontrol´s Austin business unit, was the best for a broadband service provider.
Icontrol Networks offers software platforms deployed by service providers and home security companies of all sizes, and the all-in-one Piper smart home security system for consumers.
Telstra offers a full range of communications services and competes in all telecommunications markets. In Australia, Telstra provides 16.9 million mobile services, 7.2 million fixed voice services and 3.3 million retail fixed broadband services, and has an international presence spanning 22 countries.
