iconectiv reports over 10m Greek resident telephone numbers ported since 2004

Global communications industry company iconectiv, along with its longtime partner Nevapark Management Consulting Services, have tallied more than 10 million fixed and mobile ported telephone numbers in Greece since 2004, the company said.

In 2003, iconectiv was selected by the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT) as the mobile and fixed number portability clearinghouse in Greece after an international bid where its experience with number portability in other countries had been taken into consideration.

Since then, iconectiv has been the provider of number portability for subscribers in Greece. Each year about 1m fixed and mobile numbers are ported securely, letting consumers keep their telephone number as they transfer between carriers.

As the authoritative partner of the communications industry for more than 30 years, iconectiv´s market-leading solutions enable the interconnection of networks, devices, and applications for more than two billion people every day. Working closely with private, government, and non-governmental organizations, iconectiv continues to protect and secure telecommunication infrastructures for service providers, governments, and enterprises, while providing network and operations management, numbering, registry, messaging, and fraud and identity solutions to more than 1,200 organizations globally.
