Icelandair to begin new service to Belfast

Icelandair has reported it plans to begin new service to Belfast in Northern Ireland, in cooperation with sister company Air Iceland, the company said.

The company said year-round service is expected to begin June 1, 2017 from Keflavík, Iceland to George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD), the 29th European destination offered by Icelandair.

Icelandair flights from North America arrive in Keflavík for connections to Belfast. Air Iceland will operate this codeshare flight three times weekly, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, using a 72-seat Bombardier Q400 aircraft, to George Best Belfast City Airport (BHD).

Icelandair also flies to five additional cities in the United Kingdom, including Aberdeen, Scotland, another codeshare flight operated by Air Iceland.
