HTA requests proposals for cruise development consultation services

The Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) said it has released a request for proposals (RFP) for cruise development consultation services.

Maintaining and developing access to Hawaii is essential to the sustainability of its tourism economy and is a priority for the HTA. While the cruise industry is still a relatively small market in Hawaii, it continues to be very important and provides visitors with an alternate way to visit and experience the destination.

The selected contractor will assist the HTA in its objective of achieving and exceeding cruise targets with managed visitor distribution to all islands by maintaining and developing new cruise business and growing market share against competing destinations.
